Goals
The sponsorship project for Petit Dan and Sarah aims to provide regular and sustainable financial support to enable children and young people in care to access quality education and technical training. Sponsored children and young people thus benefit from tailored support in the medium and long term, based on their specific needs.

Sponsorship allows to :

cover school fees (enrollment and tuition)

finance needs related to the development of children and young people (leisure activities, clothing, transportation, school meals, etc.)

to offer emotional support to vulnerable children and young people
-
to give them adult role models they can rely on
-
to enable them to look to the future with greater serenity

Il est important de préciser que les fonds perçus au titre du parrainage feront dans certains cas l’objet de mutualisation pour éviter tout traitement de faveur non justifié des enfants parrainé.e.s. par rapport à ceux et celles n’ayant pas de parrain/marraine. Cette mesure intervient dès le moment où les besoins essentiels de base des enfants et jeunes parrainé.e.s sont couverts, au regard des engagements de la Fondation Petit Dan et Sarah vis-à-vis des parrains et marraines.
Who can be a sponsor ?
Any adult (major) in Cameroon or abroad with no criminal record can be a sponsor. This could be, for example, a single person, a couple, someone who is employed or unemployed, or someone who is related to the child or not. The sponsor must have sufficient resources to make the monthly financial contributions required for this commitment.
What are sponsors entitled to ?
​The sponsor :

has no legal rights over the child or young person, who remains under the guardianship of the Petit Dan and Sarah Foundation at all times

can receive news about the child's activities and development, either on the initiative of the Foundation or at their request (e.g., school results)

may visit his or her protégé (under supervision), with the agreement of the supervisory team at the Petit Dan and Sarah Foundation.

may offer, under certain conditions, to temporarily take in the child or young person (e.g., during the holidays)
-
can offer their sponsored child a variety of activities and leisure pursuits
-
is in directed contact with the Foundation (the person in charge of sponsorships, the Head of the Social and Educational Action Center, and/or the Foundation Administrator)

must notify the Petit Dan and Sarah Foundation of any change of address or email address
Commitments of Petit Dan and Sarah to the sponsor
In return for the commitment of the sponsors, the Petit Dan and Sarah Foundation undertakes to :

Make appropriate and transparent use of sponsorship resources

Promote the development of a bond between sponsor and sponsored child

Provide regular updates on the children and young people to their sponsors
The terms and conditions for payment of financial commitments under the sponsorship agreement
Sponsors can fulfill their sponsorship financial commitments on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis through the following channels:

In cash at the accounting department of the Petit Dan and Sarah Foundation

By bank transfer to the Foundation's account (contact us for details)
Those concerned will be notified and will receive an acknowledgement of receipt which will serve in particular as a tax receipt for tax reductions applicable in certain countries.
The monthly payment amount is 40 euros or 26,500 FCFA.
Documents to provide with the application to become a sponsor

Proof of address dated with the last three months

A clean criminal record

A letter or email explaining your motivations and expectations

You will receive a response as soon as possible. If your application is successful, an interview with members of the management team will precede the signing of a sponsorship agreement with the Petit Dan and Sarah Foundation.
