Statement of needs
With this statement of needs, we intend to propose a few areas of intervention that could enable our partners, friends and generous benefactors to make wise choices, in proportion to their means, to effectively participate in improving the living conditions of the children of Petit Dan & Sarah. We cannot expect a single partner or occasional donor to be able to cover all these ranges of needs.
With our sincere thanks for the growing interest shown by each and every one of you in the process of strengthening our capacities with a view to improving the living conditions of orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) of the Petit Dan & Sarah Foundation.
NUTRITION​
​​Rice, beans, soy, peanuts, potatoes, manioc, sugar, salt, cooking oils, wheat flour, pasta, margarine et chocolate spread, cocoa powder for breakfast, canned food, smoked or fresh meat or fish, nutritional complements, etc.
MEDICAL CARE
Analgesics, anti-inflammatories, cough suppressants, antiparasitics, essential antibiotics, anti-anemics, vitamins and other fortifiers, bandages, compresses, adhesive tape, betadine, alcohol, cotton, minor surgery equipment, etc.
TEXTILE​
​
Clothes and footwear for children of all ages and sexes, backpacks, washclothes, towels, bedsheets, pillowcases, etc.
HYGIENE
Household soap, toilet soap, toilet creams and lotions, toothpaste, toothbrushes, detergents, bleach and other sterilization products, toilet paper, sanitary napkins, disposable infant diapers, etc.
HOME
Kitchen utensils, large pots, large buckets with lids, plastic dishes and cups, toilet buckets, cleaning buckets, small plastic chairs for young children, large plastic chairs for the refectory, study rooms, infirmary, library and media library
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Notebooks, workbooks, drawing books, ballpoint pens, pencils, colored pencils, modeling clay, slates, rulers, pencil sharpeners, academic boxes, scientific calculators, binders, boxes of white and colored chalk, cardboard and plastic folders, reams of A4 and A3 paper, call registers, computer equipment and consumables, etc.
